This is the full picture from the August sheet. I finally found some time to scan the whole calendar in, which was a pain since my scanner is a regular slightly-larger-than-A4 size and the calendar is a much larger format. Nina is also Miss March, but I'll save that for another foto.rétro

  1. Ah, the good old days when everybody's hair looked like straw. :)

I actually really like the design of her swimsuit here, regardless of the old-quality render; it's revealing and sexy, but more elaborate and smarter than just a typical 2-piece bikini. The creepy part of me also appreciates the callback to Tekken 1 with Nina ditching her shoes and applying some bright red nail polish. [/Tarantino]

Also, this makes me nostalgic for the days where I didn't have a problem with any of the women of Tekken. T2's line-up was spot-on: of course Nina is perfect, and Anna's still a good foil for her, but beyond them there's vengeful warrior princess Michelle, treacherous thief Kunimitsu and earth mother Jun (and Angel, kinda). All distinct personalities and looks, and none of them feel purely designed for cheesecake irrespective of how good they look. Flash-forward today and we're swamped by shrieking panty-flashing schoolgirls. *grumbles*

    1. I feel you. Let's hope the more serious tone of the EVO trailer for Tekken 7 is an early indicator that the series is back to taking its plot and its characters a bit more serious.

On a different note, I can't get over how much the character models (render) improved from Tekken 1 to 2. Everybody's face and body was a mess in 1, even Nina's. And then a year later they come up with some of the most beautiful, expressive and beyond state-of-the-art female videogame character models. The jump in budget, talent and technology must have been huge from 1 to 2. Despite the low amount of polys and the outdated tech, T2 Nina is still one of the most beautiful models for that character IMO.

    1. Looks like we might get Tekken 7 on PC first. Can't wait for all the different (and hopefully classic Tekken) looks some talented people out there will be modding into the game.

  4. What a nice artwork. While the CGI feels dated, these swimsuits fit these characters so well. By the way, it it me or does Michelle have some sort of nail art on one of her toenails? Can I have a high-res scan of that part of the picture? Thanks.
