Unreal Engine 4 to power Tekken 7 and Next Gen Nina Williams

Tekken 7 title card design
The 2 most exciting things about Tekken 7's announcement (both unconfirmed, both very likely): Tekken for PC & Next Gen Current Gen New Gen Nina powered by Unreal Engine 4.

UE4 Next Gen Engine Tekken 7
Unreal engine 4 really is the biggest news here. “With Unreal Engine 4, we could rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platform and go beyond it. Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to immediately bring TEKKEN 7 to any platform we desire.” says Harada. Anyone who has seen the Tekken Takes Tokyo documentary and regularly checks Harada's Twitter knows he's one of the few Japanese videogame developers who's also a massive PC gaming enthusiast. Team Tekken going with UE4 instead of their proprietary engine, and Harada talking about porting "to any platform we desire” sounds as good as a confirmation that Tekken 7 will finally mark the franchise debut on PC, and the first Tekken without jaggies thanks to whatever crazy AA your PC can pull off at a locked 60fps.

More info and a full version of the EVO trailer coming July 25th at San Diego Comic Con!

  1. First things first, STOP DISAPPEARING DAGNABBIT! Even when there's now news to speak of I miss you. :(

Second, woohoo new game! I suppose I should be upset it's not TxSF after all the effort I put into wildly speculating about how that one should go, but screw it, I'm ready for a new core game and more new canon story to enjoy/complain about (TBD at some point in future when I know what it is). Also, if we really are getting well and truly shot of at least one Mishima...yeah, I'm calling that a win. More space for our girl with a few less big haircuts in the way.

    1. Awwwwww. :-D
      That's awfully nice, man!
I know, I'm doing a terrible job lately. I mean... there's only 5 updates for this blog in 2014... and it's already mid July.
Let's see if I can turn things around and keep in touch on a more regular basis, or at least NOT disappear for months.

Tekken 7!!! So excited!!! Don't you just love it when there's a new one announced and you have all these updates to look forward to. Almost better than the actual game itself.

.. I missed you too :-DDD

    3. The pleasure's all mine, seriously - this is a great site, your posts are well-crafted, and I remain as ever overjoyed by your passion for Nina (and envious of your mountain of Nina-related merch). You wouldn't be rid of me even if you tried. :)

  2. Hi from Australia, I check your blog spot daily and I get really excited when you post new things. Will you be reviewing the Bishoujo Nina Williams since the painted version is revealed?

    1. Thanks a lot for your commet, Chuck!
I'll definitely review the figure as soon as it's out, I have 2 preordered. It's still a few months off, though, so yeah, maybe it's a good idea to go over the coloured and finished version now rather than waiting for it to hit stores first.
Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for reading the blog!
