All Wii U exclusive Tekken Tag Tournament 2 features

Here's a blonde.bomb first: I haven't yet touched this version of the game myself (due to lack of Wii U), still, I'm happy to present to you a breakdown of Tekken Tag Tournament 2's new Wii U exclusive features, starring Nina Williams...

"So how did you take shots of all the new stuff if you don't have a Wii U?" you might ask. Well, I didn't. The following pictures were taken and kindly curated by Nina devotee extraordinaire Craig from Craig's Pillar of Justice, who - you guessed it - does have a Wii U and spent some quality time with the game. He will also talk you through the game's new additions, giving you a complete round-up of the Nintendo console exclusive content. "So why exactly did he go through all the trouble and share it here?" you might ask. Well, simple, because he's totes cool and all kinds of epic! (Just check out his blog! It's extremely well written and very funny, too). Now enough with the praising! Here we go:

Craig: "Nina in the intro, playing on the GamePad. Just showing that this does work. The pic doesn't do the Pad's screen justice; other than a slight loss of colour depth/brightness it's essentially just as pin-sharp and clear as the image on my TV."

"Zelda Nina in focus. A few shots from the model viewer to get some details across, then pics from a fight pitting her and Ganon-Ogre against Peach Lili and Toad Feng. Yes, Feng gets the Toad suit. He must've drawn the short straw."

"Mushroom Battle pics with Giant Nina and Mini Dragunov. I tried to get a pic of Twisted Mind with the two but couldn't focus the camera and press the right command at the same time."

"Tekken Ball battle with Nina versus Miharu. Another thing that's hard to take pics of owing to the constant motion of the ball. I should note that Ball mode, like Mushroom Battle, comes with its own new background music, and it is the most insanely catchy J-pop thing I've ever heard."

"Pics from the new Tekken Supporters mode, found in the same 'special' menu as Ball and Mushroom modes. Basically, you can pledge any fight money you've unlocked towards any of the characters, which might unlock some of the extra custom items...or might not. The whole thing is 'presented' by Violet and his secretary from Fight Lab, and your pledges are seemingly uploaded to an online scoreboard I haven't yet found. I honestly have no idea what this is for, other than maybe an odd way for Namco to gauge character popularity - in which case I hope the 3.5 million I've so far gifted to Nina has made an effect..."

"The online leaderboard for Nina donations in Tekken Supporters, with my name highlighted because ego.  I have a while to go before I reach SDDMN25's level of generosity, of course."

"Mucking around with the Paint option in customisation. Paint replaces Decal mode in this version; it's less flexible than Decals since you can only have one 'layer' of paint applied on any character at once, but it is definitely more fun, so it kinda balances out. Note that I did NOT save this particular effort. :P "

"Surprise, it's a new bio for Nina! Any time you're playing on the TV and go to the character select screen, the GamePad shows the bio of whatever character is currently highlighted, and all the bios seem to be new. Or at least they aren't the recycled-from-T6 ones in the TTT2 art book. (amusing note: Anna's bio is basically entirely about how much she hates Nina...and Nina's bio doesn't even acknowledge Anna exists. How apt!)"

"As it turns out there's more than one screen of data that can be displayed on the GamePad at character select. [The picture above] shows the 'story' screen for Nina, which is basically the same as character bio but a bit expanded (and does actually mention Anna, so she doesn't get her feelings hurt more)."

"To address something unfortunate: the Nintendo outfits are NOT part of customisation mode, so each character only gets the one. Alas, no Zero Suit or Peach dress for Nina (and correspondingly, no Zelda dress for Anna etc.). That said, it's pretty much the only issue I have with the game, and after TTT2 on other formats I'm used to disappointment with customisation mode. On the plus side, both Tekken Ball and Mushroom Battle are great fun and the game does everything else just as well as the other format versions, so it's still a great time."
